Émilie Rachel & Thom Merlin's "Another Place" is one of our favourite deep house releases from 2023. Thom's gentle groove and delicious Rhodes stabs made the perfect accompaniment for Émilie's smokey soul vocals. When we first heard "Get Low", we fell in love with its husky brilliance, so we drafted Kevin McKay to produce it for her debut release on Glasgow Underground. The resulting collaboration maintains Émilie's mesmerising voice but adds bumping bass, deep strings, and a wonderful synth wobble to deliver a DJ's delight. It's the kind of irresistible club-friendly pulse that has seen Kevin's productions top the Deep House charts for a year or more. Superb.
